Throughout the years, our work has evolved from trailer hitches and accessories for vehicles; to the design and development of patented products; to our current position as a leader in metal fabrications. Wood's Welding has the proven capability to manufacture a variety of products and components and specializes in steel fabrication for the mining sector. With very little staff turn around, we have a solid understanding of our abilities so we are confident when we say that if you can dream it up, we can build it.
History of Woods
Originally founded in 1960 by Leonard and Norma Wood, Wood’s Welding is an exceptionally stable work environment and a true family business. In 1976, Leonard and Norma’s son Brent began working full time for the company, and in 1996 he took over business. You don’t have to be a Wood to be part of the family though – Bruce Pulsifer has been an employee since 1990 and Roger Brookes since 1980. What’s equally impressive is that three of Roger’s sons now work here full time as well.
The dedication and commitment of our team is a testament to our values as a company. We stand behind our workers, because they stand behind our work. It is an extremely successful business model.
